Photocopy Yo Face!
So I think a lot of people are ending up here by accident after a google search. It seems I have amassed enough words on my blog to almost guarantee popping up in at least one search during the day. So, if you are here by accident, hello…good to know you know how to use the internet. I hope that you find what you are looking for. My favorite way to find my blog… (9th item down..)...

The Orbiting Teapot
Peanut Butter = Mantequilla de Cacajuates. Awesome. So when I was in high school we always talked about recording 25min of blank space on a cassette, followed periodic noises and yelps, then 20min of silence, then some yelling of words. The idea was to play this tape in a cassette player that we would have hidden in the library somewhere. The 25min of silence would give us more than enough time...

Seeing Myself Through Your Prism
So I saw Chuck Klosterman speak yesterday which basically made my year. He is one of my favorite authors (if not my favorite) and he gave a great, and not short speech. One of the most exciting things was, that he put into words an idea that I’ve been trying to get across for ages, I could just never really word it right. If you remember my post from a while ago, about how it’s...

WORD UP
So this is the punctuation mark edition. -First let me say, that it has been my goal since like second grade to be able to draw the ‘&’ symbol on command. I still cannot do this. Very sad. -Semi colons (spelling?) are neglected. They are kind of like a fourth child of the alphabet. -Question marks. Look cooler when you replace the period with something fun… like a...

dead as a door snob
My advisor has always reminded me of the psychologist in “The Thomas Crown Affair”. She seems to know what mistakes I’m making, but enjoys seeing how things turn out. She doesn’t seem like she’d let me wander too far astray, but I know she knows something I don’t. If you’ve seen the movie, this makes sense. I am convinced I’m in a “Truman...

WARNING: Bitterness Edition # 2
Soccer balls. Why are they always so different looking? Footballs, tennis balls, baseballs, ping pong balls, basketballs, they always are consistent in their appearances for professional sports. Soccer balls however come in all different colors. Silver is popular, but I’ve seen yellow, green, black white, whatever. The funny thing is, it never looks like the stereotypical soccer ball...

I find that my interests are very cyclical. Music is consistent, but besides that, I’m always dabbling in something each year. Sophomore year I got really really into film, junior year I got really really into making techno, and this year I’m really into graphic design. I’m not saying this is bad, I just think it’s interesting how predicable the shifts are. By the end...

One Dollar for One Duck
If you, or anyone you know, wears those rubber shoes with lots of holes in them. (you know the ones that look ridiculous but people say are really comfortable) You need to take them off, melt them down, and sell them to the police for rubber bullets. I recognize most people I know from the front. There are some people I know really well that I can’t recognize when I’m walking...

Bankok! !!! ! ?
My sister Holly and I were walking around the mall last night, around 8:45pm and we came to a realization. The mall at night feels EXACTLY like your empty high school hallways during a Friday night dance. There is this feeling that everyone else is congregated elsewhere and you are just looking for where. It’s also a little bit sad because you it feels like all the people walking around...

Polish the shoooes
Back from Miami! Woo! Unfortunately, my computer is still MIA and being really stupid. I’m hoping to get it back sometime in the next 4 years, at which point my posts won’t be so bitter… Anyway, Miami was flippin’ amazing and I should have some pictures posted soon. The video is going to be amazing as well, but I don’t know if that will be internationally...

Erroneous! Erroneous on both counts!
Why the World is About to End? Start? What? -Do you type without looking? I don’t, but I suspect most people do by now. Anyway, I saw a girl today write with a pencil without looking and it made perfect sense. Why don’t more people do this? I suppose because it’s hard to stay on the lines, but it seems way more natural a motion than punching little semi-squares. -I wonder...

Day is the new Night
-The banana is a very good fruit. I know ‘good’ is sort of a cop-out adjective, but it is a very versatile word used to encompass the banana’s many facets. THINK! Banana pancakes, banana and peanut butter, banana in oatmeal, banana in yogurt, banana and strawberry. You might think, if the banana is so good, why always add stuff to it? Well, UNLIKE tofu, which tastes like...
