Talking to yourself

I was wondering if everyone has as the same amount of inner monologue. You know, basically talking to yourself in your head. OK, I’m sure they do, but sometimes it seems like I meet people that don’t have one at all. As in, there is nothing going on in their head except the occasional thought of what they are going to say. Mine, however, won’t ever shut up. The only way for there to be peace and quiet up there is if I’m concentrating really hard on something and all my thinkings are taken up by that process. Next time I suspect I’ve met a monologue-less being I’m going to ask them “hey what are you thinking about?” and if they answer ‘nothing’ then my suspicions will be confirmed. Because no one is ever just thinking about ‘nothing.’ Then again, it’s not really a problem, they probably worry a lot less about everything. Not to mention never second guess themselves etc. It would be nice to be able to switch it off there and again but alas.
