JET LAG

OK, few things. One, I am not so good at this whole blogging thing. I can’t figure out how to add pictures, add links, blah blah… i thought i was good at this computer stuff? OK wait…just figured out how to add links. Go to my webshots! I just put up some summer pics (as in before NZ). There aren’t many, but just some ones to get the idea you know. Can’t wait to get my website back up and going so i can put up some of my NZ videos. Some are actually quite excellent if i do say so.

It’s so wierd being home, for way to many reasons to list. So far, I haven’t really ventured out of the house, I’m a bit afraid of reverse-culture shock. I think i might make a journey tomorrow to Barnes and Noble. (i figure, ill start small) Then maybe hit up Chipotle since NZ doen’t have mexican food and no human should go without a good burrito for more than one week. Then of course there is my piano and my electric guitar, both of which have been missed beyond comprehension. Hopefully, in this absurd amount of time i have off i can conctruct a studio in our basement and record an album…hopefully ready for release by January. But, like all musicians that give themselves a release date…I’m sure I’ll be way late. (and yes that did rhyme) Oh and by the way, jet lag makes you feel stupid

Ahh the return of music reccomentdationsnsnsdpdsns

- Pete Murray “Feeler” (album)
from down under, one of the VERY few NZ/Aus musicians I liked. (sounds a bit like John Mayer mixed with Pete Yorn…though I’m only 6 songs into the album so far)

- Peppino D’Agostino “Every Step of the Way” (album)
OK he’s on here cause I’m going to his concert tomorrow and I’m estatic. VERY good acoustic guitar player, fingerstyle. Not really ‘pop’ by any stretch of the imagination. But then again…maybe that’s a good thing
