“The World Is Fat”… i mean flat
so apparently, while i was gone, this “March of the Penguins” movie became quite a hit. I was baffled to find it missing from the video store every time i tried to rent it. i thought to myself, “a movie about animals…sold out? multiple copies? impossible!” but then, i was informed that it was the “thing” sometime a wee while ago. so that explains the multiple trips i’ve made to the video store to finally get a copy. they better do some damn cool marching is all i have to say after all this work
i wish things like late fees could expire after some amount of time. it seems that only good things are ever allowed to expire. (coupons, memberships, subscriptions, raspberries…)
i always want to read those popular science/economics books, like ‘The World is Flat’ and ‘Freakonomics’ etc, but then what ends up happening is that I’ll quote something from it (to sound intelligent) and the entire room goes “oh yeah that was in blah blah” and then i just feel like that poor guy Matt Damon’s character in “Good Will Hunting” humiliates for being daft/a prick. great scene by the way. haha, ‘i got her number! how do you like them apples!’ haha
