A few music recommendations for those of you feeling deprived by the radio and/or MTV…both of which often, well, suck.
“Don’t Look Down” David Ryan Harris
-great beat to this song, and DRH voice is scary good. and the backwards guitar a few minutes in makes me happy
“I Guess I’m Floating” M83
-nice, chill, ambient type song. very nostalgic sounding.
“Listening For the Weather” Bic Runga
-a really great melodic track from a NZ artist…good luck finding it in the US. hit me up if you want this one, she is a great songwriter and this is one of her best i think
“Blackbird” Brad Mehldau
-the best cover of this Beatles song I’ve ever heard. Mehldau is a sweet jazz piano player, and his interpretation of this song is kickin
“Keep it Clean” Camera Obscura
-good indie music. not crap fake indie music that MTV pushes. (i’m not bitter am i…)
“Ooh La La” The Faces
-you will feel happy immediately upon first listen. if you don’t, you might be a robot and you need to download emotions
