Puerto Rico es cierto!
I’m back! Puerto Rico was out of control. I think, over the course of this last week, I have said something was “out of control” maybe 79 times. I also decided that the actual number of things that were “out of control” was probably somewhere around 165. Some highlights:
-Swimming in a Bio-Luminescent lagoon after kayaking down a water passage that was clearly infested with snakes and pirana.
-Hitting the casino all decked out in suits…and only betting in increments of 2$.
-Watching the Dominican Republic play Cuba in the World Baseball Classic.
-Having our own private table at San Juan’s coolest (i say) club…with bottles of Dom.
-Trekking through the rainforest on the “interpretive trail” (whatever that means)
-Eating crazy, fried, local, and roadside Puerto Rican food and then going swimming on a beeeautiful beach
-Staying up until 7:30am on Thursday and going swimming in the sea. Then subsequently meeting the most insane girl in San Juan whose reason for being up was :”I found a PINEapple!” as if that should explain it all…
-Playing one 35$ hand of blackjack with David Ortiz. (Worth it)
-Checking out the best fort I’ve ever seen called El Morro, built right into the San Juan coast. (with a sunset of course)
-Getting free dessert from the owner of The Palm
-Being in Puerto Rico.
Of course these all have stories that would need to be told in person, much better that way. But those are just some fun things that came to mind. Oh, and check out these Spanish rhymes that were often shouted by me:
Cuando Cuando Alejandro!
Puerto Rico! Es cierto!
Anyway, the blog is back up an moving, since sadly I am back at school.
