I Heart Iceberg Lettuce
Not only is that not true, but I also would never seriously use that expression if I wanted to be taken seriously. ..
I have decided that eating on a college campus is expensive. This, of course, we already know. But, the thing that gets me is how difficult they make it to eat vegetables. Let us first be clear; iceberg lettuce is not a vegetable. It has the nutritional value of a piece of lint and has been strangely accepted as a “health food.” I suppose it is a health food if you are already healthy…but that doesn’t really count. I can name a few places on campus where the only vegetables they have are tiny little salad tomatoes and iceberg lettuce. There are some places that carry more vegetables, but they are open for such limited amounts of time that it kind of defeats the purpose. Almost every other vendor is happy with iceberg lettuce filling out their food pyramid requirement. (despite the fact that it does not) Anyway, that is why I hate iceberg lettuce and love Whole Foods.
It’s Tuesday and it’s raining. Isn’t that supposed to happen on Mondays?
My computer is louder than the plane I flew in on. That, is bad.
