ACL (not the knee one..)

So in about 1 hour I’m off to Austin, Texas to see John Mayer, Massive Attack, Gnarls Barkley, KT Tunstall, Matt Nathanson, MUSE, Van Morrison, Los Lonely Boys and tons of others. http://www.aclfestival.com It’s going to be amazing, and I’ll be back on Monday, when the blogging craziness can resume.

-Ever wonder why it is completely impossible to stop thinking? (as in turn your mind off willingly) I always wonder this when I’m basically out of things to think about. It’s almost as if my mind uses that very thought as a way to prevent me from ever not thinking about something. Very strange.

-Newspapers are organized all wrong. It doesn’t make any sense to start reading an article, then have to jump like 5 pages to get the rest of it. Would it be so hard to just put the entire article in one place? I don’t care about advertisers, I want to read from start to finish and not get confused. I think it’s hilarious when I skip to page 5 or whatever, thinking I’m still reading the same article, when really it’s the continuation of a different one. It’s very troubling when I don’t notice that it’s different… says something about my attention span.

-Ever notice, that when it rains, there are less people walking around? OK, of course you have, that is very obvious. BUT here is my question: Why exactly are there fewer people? Have some people decided to stay inside because of the rain? Clearly. Were there original destinations not important enough that they could get away with not going? Does this mean that a majority of the people (the same people staying inside on the rainy day) walking around on a nice day don’t have crucial destinations? I guess it must..

So last night was night 2 of the series of secret rehearsals for Running Lights, gearing up for our fall explosion. We just got 4 new songs that we love, very excited about these ones. Here are some pics from the night.:

I take myself very seriously
