I want to be in japan in a hotel bar
I think computers need to change. Not anything major, I just want them to change the diaolog box. Everyone comes in contact with this box. I’m talking about the little thing that pops up pretty frequently to tell you pretty much…anything. For example: ‘You’ve got mail” Then there is a little box that you have to click that says “OK”. Right? OK well I want this to say something else, because sometimes it’s not ‘OK’:
“Your Computer is out of battery life.” - In this case I want my little button to say “FINE”.
Some other fun words that your dialog box could say:
Good (with sarcasm)
Understood
I don’t believe you.
No
Please don’t talk to me I’m feeling very emotional
I think one of the most irrationally sad things you can see is a lost mitten on the ground. For some reason, the lone mitten and no other item of clothing, elicits a very emotional response in 8/10 people on the earth.
Taddle Tape. You know, that stuff they put on electronic items that makes it beep if you try to leave the store. OK so I’m sure you, like everyone I know, has had the experience of setting off a store alarm when you haven’t taken anything. This is mildly irritating mostly just because it’s loud, but it could be a lot worse… they could actually search you every-time that happened. That would make a lot more sense to me than their current policy: Almost every store just waves you out the door with a look of “oh don’t worry this happens all the time, that thing is crazy”. This seems a little ridiculous. Why have the alarm if you never are going to use it for real? All I have to do is look confused and point to my cell phone helplessly and I could walk out of Barnes and Noble with all the Joy of Cooking books they have.
The ‘hotel bar’ is one of my favorite places in the world. Doesn’t matter which hotel, although really tall ones in huge cities work best, but the hotel bar is the place for me. Forget the alcohol, I just love the atmosphere. I love the lighting, I love the smell, I love the kind of no-man’s land feel they have to them. Since most of the customers are travelers, it’s always a very interesting crowd. I want to be in one now, 2am just isnt the same here.
