We’ll Never See this Place Again
Dressing rooms are disagreeable places. First, you have to get into them, which usually requires convincing some pissy 18 year old salesmen to come to the back of the store. Then you have to dodge the little push pins that are all about the floor, while simultaneously trying to field questions about your pants size. Then there is the door, which is often just a piece of curtain, that does about a good a job keeping your privacy as an identity thief. And of course there is the clothes graveyard that accumulates in the corner of the room from people trying things on and not liking them. I don’t know, dressing rooms aren’t that cool.
A lot of times, I see photographs that are “great” and I wonder why. Sometimes, it actually is a great picture, but other times it’s just the subject that makes the picture great. For example: a picture of a triple rainbow coming out of the Eiffel Tower at nighttime - might be considered a great picture… but anybody could take a picture of that and have look amazing. I like it better when photography is commended on things beyond just the luck of a good subject. Anyway, here is an example of one of my own pictures that is only good because of my lucky subject: the sun!
