Heliocentric
So I was just reading about Antioxidants on the back of my cereal box. I read a whole paragraph on why Antioxidants are supposedly good for me and learned absolutely nothing about what they actually do. Sentences like “Antioxidants help aid in immune system support and make a healthy heart…” What does that mean? How? Why? Where is the evidence? I want a diagram showing little molecules killing each other or something more concrete than “help in immune support” which could be used to describe just about any food that is remotely healthy for you. The thing is, people really eat this stuff up (literally). They love those little “healthy heart” decals on the front of their cereal box, which mean virtually nothing, just boost sales by 1 million percent. Whatever, I’ll still eat them, so long as they don’t start making a “not-healthy for your heart logo” Although that would be hilarious…”Greasy bacon aids in the destruction of your immune system and will eventually kill you. See diagram below”.
In case you were wondering, it is way too early to be writing right now. I don’t know why, but recently I’ve been having some real trouble getting to sleep. This whole semester, that hasn’t been a problem, I would go right off like a light. Now though, it’s crazy, I’ll lay in bed for 1 hour minimum just thinking “Am I awake..now? Yep. Drat. Am I awake….. now? Yep. Hmm.”
I bought a Russian Lomo camera the other day for like 20$. It is pretty awesome, but every time I want to develop the film, it costs more than the camera. This should not be the case. It’s like how Apple technical support plans can cost more than the actual programs, makes complete sense.
