Expirations Dates (not just for food)
I really need to work on my “serious” face. I’ve noticed that most of my friends, when out at night, have reverted to the serious face when being photographed. The days of saying cheese are apparently over. My serious face usually ends up looking ridiculous and I often appear to be drastically confused when attempting to look mysterious. There is unfortunately no way to practice this type of serious spontaneity, so I might just go ahead and smile, be the odd man out.
There is an expiration date on when you are allowed to get mad at someone. Depending on what they did, the length changes. For example: If one of my friends is 30 minutes late to lunch, I am going to be slightly peeved, not like pissed, but slightly peeved. I would be allowed to reprimand them for this lateness within an hour window. (give or take) However, if i get mad at them after passes, this is uncool. Waiting this long to get angry should not be allowed, as it encourages unwarranted passive aggressive behavior. Between the time my friend is late, and the hour that passes before I call him on it, I will be being unfairly passive aggressive as I try to vent my frustration. This is why one should only be allowed to get mad within an appropriate window of time. It’s up to the individual to determine the window, because some instances will be unclear. (breaking someone’s window..etc) But be sure to observe your expiration dates. (on food too)
