Kicking Television

I really wish that, when things were measured in stars, that there was a consistent system across categories. For example. Restaurants are measured, according to the Times, on a 4 star scale. Michelin however thinks there need only be three stars in the measurement system. Movies of course can occasionally garner 5 stars, unless you are reading a magazine, where 4 is more common. This inconsistency leads to inevitable confusion, causing such mishaps as: Viewing a terrible movie because you thought it was rated highly, or disregarding the best restaurant in the country because it only has 3 stars. And why does Michelin (don’t they make tires?) think they have any authority on restaurant quality? Apparently they started the guide to help people maintain their cars AND find food while touring in France. Random.
