Ryan Adams had it right

It is amazing to me, how consistently fantastic New York City is every time I go there. I was just up there for a couple of days, I guess only one full day, and I had a great time. My mom, sister and I saw “The Farnesworth Invention” which was really well done. I usually am not so much a fan of theater, but this one really drew me in. We also made it to the Vanessa Holesek gallery to see the new (and almost gone) Banksy exhibit. That was pretty exciting to see, since I’ve only ever seen his work in books. I think it would be more exciting to come across a piece on the street, but the gallery did a nice job of representing his work. I bought a poster and wished I had $50,000 to burn burn burn on a original. Made it into Marquee as well, which is always a trip. I don’t think I’ll hear for a few days. (on the plus side my voice sounds fantastically smokey (or completely gone, depending on your perspective) after talking over the crowds. By the way, New York is WAY too crowded during the holidays. If you want to move on the street, you cannot move. If you don’t want to move on the street, than you’re OK. Oh also I got a haircut. A big one. I left the place and was sure I had forgotten something. I also don’t recognize myself in the mirror. (something about missing a giant afro does that apparently…) Anyway, New York was amazing. Can’t wait to go back
